Rainy Day Dreams

Hello everyone! We are now entering the second month of my posting break. But to make the separation easier, you can take part in 2022’s reader event!

What is it?: This year’s event is based off American television game show the Dating Game and is part popularity contest, part character Q & A, and part throw back to previous years’ Shipping Contests.

How does it work?: In the format of the tv show, a bachelorette would question three bachelors, who were hidden from view; over the course of several rounds. At the end of the questioning period, she would choose one to accompany her on a date. The same principle follows for this event. Readers (like you!) will submit their votes for which RDD characters they’d like to see fill which roles and what questions they’d like to see asked (this part is optional).

At the end of the submission period, I’ll tally up all the votes and made a series of short Dating Game comics using the winning characters and ice-breaker questions. These comics will post on the website the week of February 14th, 2022. That week I’ll be running a poll where you can vote for your favorite Mystery Date. The Mystery Date with the most votes will be crowned the winner. The following week I’ll post a small illustration of the two on a date.

Feel free get weird with your votes. All cast members (including different ages or AU versions) are fair game! Have fun and thanks for playing along~
